Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools welcomes you to our District!

Welcome to Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools. Our caring and dedicated staff are committed to helping your student succeed in any avenue they wish to explore. Academically, we have AP classes available, an excellent dual enrollment program, and a wonderful partnership with the Tuscola Technology Center. Socially, there are many diverse extracurricular activities and a stellar sports program students can participate in. Community engagement is also an important aspect of our success with many opportunities to get involved through volunteering.   • Office phones are available for student use with permission from office staff. Students will be called to the office to receive a telephone call if it is a parent/guardian.   • Unionville Sebewaing Area Public Schools respects students’ rights to express themselves in the way they dress. All students who attend Unionville Sebewaing Area Public Schools are also expected to respect the school community by dressing appropriately for a K-12 educational environment. Student attire should facilitate participation in learning as well as the health and safety of students and the adults that supervise them. This policy is intended to provide guidance for students, staff, and parents. The link below has the dress code determined approved by the school board in our handbook.

    1. Once a student has reached five (5) undocumented absences in a school year, a letter will be sent to the recorded student’s address indicating the days missed and the attendance policy.
    2. At eight (8) undocumented absences, a letter will be sent, as well as a phone call from administration to discuss attendance.
    3. Once a student has reached ten (10) undocumented absences in a school year, a meeting will be scheduled by administration to discuss attendance concerns. If the predetermined date and time create a conflict, you can call the office to reschedule. 
    4. Once a student has reached fifteen (15) undocumented absences in a school year, a final phone call will be made, a letter will be sent home indicating the days missed, a reminder of the attendance policy, and notification that the student has three (3) school days to submit documentation for absences before his/her case is referred to the county truancy officer.
