Dear Parents & Guardians, We have been monitoring the number of positive cases and quarantines closely since returning from spring break. This afternoon, based on our low attendance caused by students placed in quarantine due to close contacts or positive cases, we made the difficult decision to close grades 6-12 to in-person learning next week. All USA Middle School and USA High School will participate in our remote learning plan starting Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23. We will not send students to the Tuscola Tech Center. Please watch your email for more information on Saturday regarding the remote learning schedule. USA Elementary will remain open as usual next week. Attendance at the elementary school has been better than the other buildings and the number of positive cases and quarantines are also lower.

March 10, 2021 Dear Parents/Guardians: Wednesday afternoon we were informed that a student at the USA Elementary and a staff member at the USA High School has tested positive for COVID-19. We have identified students who were in close contact in the elementary building and families have been provided instructions for those students to quarantine. We have also performed contact tracing in the high school building and determined no students were in close contact. We will continue to perform contact tracing with the assistance of the health department to identify all possible close contacts. If you have not been contacted, your child is not a close contact of the individual, and therefore your child is not required to quarantine. The District will be working closely with the Tuscola County Health Department to assure our community's health and safety.
